CO2CRC CEO Dr Peter Cook said the new service would help industries develop and adopt new low-emission technologies based on the geological storage of CO2.
Schlumberger spokesperson Dr Geoffrey Ingram said the two companies have complementary skills and expertise in the field of CO2 storage.
"Schlumberger has a comprehensive portfolio of technologies and processes for undertaking long-term storage of CO2 in geological formations, while CO2CRC has experience in storage site research both here and overseas," he said.
The alliance builds on a CO2 storage project in southwestern Victoria involving the two companies, with Schlumberger providing technology to CO2CRC during the project.
