Under charter to Woodside Energy, the work onsite is scheduled to start early in March.
Works undertaken will include diving services related to an electrical diagnostics and
maintenance program at the WCLH development.
Located 135km northwest of Dampier, in water up to 130m deep, the fields are linked to the Cossack Pioneer floating production storage and offloading vessel.
The Geosea, currently under contract in the Gulf of Thailand, is a dedicated multi support vessel with fully integrated subsea intervention systems, including saturation diving, air diving and remote-operated vehicle systems.
ROVs on ICE
Meanwhile, DOF has awarded its own supoly contract to remote intervention technologies and equipment supplier Perry Slingsby Systems.
PSS will supply 10 new generation Triton XLX ROV systems to DOF Subsea.
Five 3000m 150HP systems will be delivered in 2009 and again in 2010 for use across DOF’s operations.
"Each system is equipped with the ICE (integrated controls engine) real-time control system and configured with the latest generation survey capabilities, fully integrated operators control chair and the option of upgrading to a 150HP auxiliary hydraulic system," PSS said.
This latest order brings the total number of PSS systems contracted by DOF in the last 30 months to 21.
