The drilling campaign resulted in one dry hole at Nudgee-1, a new field discovery at Marcoola-1, and an oil find at Warragon-1 that is still yet to be tested.
Entek told the market this morning that production facilities are being installed at Marcoola-1, with output from the Hutton Sandstone formation expected to begin in November.
Elsewhere in the permit, Entek said the joint venture is waiting for a workover rig to arrive early next month at its Warragon-1 well.
Once the Toolachee Formation has been perforated, Beach as operator plans to flowtest the well to establish inflow performance. The flowtest will then be analysed and a decision made on whether to complete the well and bring it into production, carry out reservoir stimulation or plug and abandon the well.
Also in ATP-269P, the Byrock-2 well has been brought into production and appears to have stabilised at about 60 barrels of oil per day.
However, Entek said further adjustments would be made to the rate as downhole fluid levels stabilise.
Companies with interests in ATP-269 are Beach Petroleum (46.95%), Entek Energy (28.15%), IOR Exploration (20%) and Santos (4.9%).
