Ferguson wins Angel contract

The contract covers the hire of six eight-man accommodation modules plus an office and a medic module, and the purchase of a galley and a food store module.

The units will be linked and stacked to form a complex capable of sleeping up to 48 persons on the normally unmanned fixed gas processing platform.

Ferguson Modular divisional manager – module hire Gary Wilson said this was the company’s third module hire contract with Woodside, and its fifth in Australia. He said the company could now offer solutions for up to 200 persons on board.

The Angel development area lies about 130km on the North West Shelf offshore Australia.

The complete project will include installation of a third major offshore production platform off the North West Shelf and associated infrastructure, including a new 50km subsea pipeline tie back to the North Rankin A platform from Angel, which will underpin the North West Shelf Venture’s current gas contracts and future sales.
