As a result, APT will now move to compulsorily acquire the remaining shares to complete the $452 million cash takeover of the Victorian transmission operator.

APT runs 8000km of transmission pipeline in Australia, accounting for almost a quarter of the nation’s grid. The GasNet acquisition will add a further 2000km of pipeline.
