ISA has installed the Schlumberger LiveQuest ASP solution at its High Performance Computing and Visualisation Centre so that companies in the region can access leading-edge software solutions.
WA’s Department of Industry and Resources has signed up as the first client to use the LiveQuest solution via ISA Technologies’ Visualisation Centre, according to DoIR petroleum and royalties division general manager Mark Gabrielson.
“We recognise the improved cost benefits of the new ISA/Schlumberger offering,” he said.
“The department will now access the LiveQuest solution via ISA’s facilities, rather than using the solution on our own infrastructure.”
ISA managing director Sil La Puma said the ISA-Schlumberger collaboration could offer a lot to WA’s booming resources sector.
LiveQuest enables collaborative access to multiplatform exploration and production applications such as GeoFrame and ECLIPSE, providing flexible, reliable and secure data and application access, including 3D visualisation applications.
The LiveQuest solution enables users to securely access and share applications and data anywhere, anytime via a web browser, eliminating the need to have costly and complex internal IT infrastructure.
LiveQuest also allows users to run high-end visualisation software on a laptop or PC connected to a corporate intranet or the internet, enabling easy, remote collaboration on projects in real-time.
