Energy Minister Francis Logan said renewable energy would play a significant role in WA's energy future, and the Renewable Energy Handbook identified would help businesses take advantage of the state's potential wind, solar, biomass and wave energy resources.
"We need diversify our energy supplies by developing a solid, prosperous and profitable renewable energy industry," Logan said at the handbook launch on Friday.
The CD-ROM handbook contains information on the variety of renewable energy opportunities available in WA, as well as information on the various approvals needed for different projects.
The Renewable Energy Handbook is available free of charge from the WA Sustainable Energy Development Office.
"The Carpenter Government is committed to delivering environmental, social and economic benefits to the community by accelerating the transition to a more sustainable energy system," Logan said.
