The Adelaide-headquartered company - Australia's third largest petroleum producer - announced today that Shell Financial Services chief executive Kenneth Dean and LEK director and former Fluor manager Christopher Recny were joining the Santos board of directors.

Dean, 52, has a 30-year career with Shell in treasury, audit, accounting, IT and financial and corporate services. An expatriate Australian, Dean retired from Shell and is returning to Australia in March.

Recny, 51, also has a 30-year career - as a strategist and management consultant in the natural resources sector in North America, Europe, South East Asia and Australia. He is presently is Asia-Pacific head of international management consultancy LEK, a company he helped set up in the early 1980s.
