Afminex name change reflects Caspian focus

KYRGYZSTAN oilfield operator Afminex has changed its name to Caspian Oil & Gas, completing its gradual evolution from African gold explorer to central Asian oil producer.

Afminex name change reflects Caspian focus

Afminex, formerly Leo Shield Exploration, hived off its African mining assets into the Perseus Mining float earlier this year. After taking full control of its Kyrgyz oilfields – it terminated a farm out agreement with a European investor due to non-performance – it has rebadged itself with a more appropriate name.

Caspian’s new codes are CIG (ordinary shares) and CIGOC (options).
