New CEO for Cooper Energy

Michael Scott will take on the roles from early February at a time when the company is looking to optimize oil production from its three producing oil fields, Sellicks, Christies and Worrior.

Scott is a Petroleum Engineer with 20 years experience in the oil and gas exploration and production industry. During his career he has worked for Woodside Petroleum, Esso Australia, Esso UK and Texaco on a number of domestic and international oil and gas projects.

He has also been involved in business development and project identification in countries outside of Australia, including a number of Middle Eastern countries, Argentina, New Zealand and Uzbekistan.

These projects typically required full technical, economic, commercial, operational and political evaluation of the risks and opportunities.
