The contract, which commenced today, runs for the next five years and eight months and will earn NPS (WA) some $77.5 million over its term. The contract is for one of two operational areas within the Mulitnet region. Multinet is jointly owned by Aquila Inc (formerly UtiliCorp United) and AMP through its Energy Partnership structure.
NPS (WA) chief executive officer, Mr Andy Wood, said that the contract further secures the position of NPS (WA) within the gas construction and maintenance sector.
"With major contracts in place in two states of Australia, we are now a sizeable player within this industry," Mr Wood said. He added the company was now on track to meet its full-year revenue forecast of $40 million.
Late last year, AlintaGas awarded NPS (WA) a four-year gas construction and maintenance services contract.
