Now in its eighth year and with Australia soon to become the largest exporter of LNG, the conference will focus on energy resources that have seen remarkable growth.
"Amid the rapid growth of new sectors such as battery minerals and the rise of Australia as a leading exporter of liquefied natural gas, the Noosa conference will again put the spotlight on some of the emerging companies that could become our future major miners, ensuring our industry retains its place as a world leader," event organiser Phil Dickinson said.
The expansion of Australian energy exports is highlighted in the latest Chief Economist's quarterly resources and energy report which predicted that in the next five years the sector will inject A$1 trillion into the Australian economy.
Aussie explorers will be well represented by Queensland's Armour Energy, Blue Energy, Comet Ridge and Real Energy, Northern Territory-focused Central Petroleum, Perth's Otto Energy and Triangle Energy, and Victoria's Bass Oil.
Central recently finalised a gas supply contract with Queensland fertiliser and explosives company Incitec Pivot, and Perth Basin-focused Triangle updated its Cliff Head reserves a few days ago.
Meanwhile Comet's Mahalo project is demonstrating stronger-than-expected gas flows and Blue's Territory plans are no longer stalled after the lifting of the fraccing moratorium.
The three day conference in Noosa runs from the 18th to 20th of this month and will host an estimated 1000 attendees from the energy, exploration and mining sectors, with representatives from over 60 ASX listed companies.
Keynote speakers will include Queensland Resources Council CEO Ian Macfarlane, Morgans senior analyst Adrian Prendergast, and Aetas CEO Richard Offer.
