Laos tragedy may halt further hydropower plans

THE government of Laos has announced it will suspend new hydropower projects and examine hydropower projects after a dam burst its banks in Attapeu province two weeks ago in the country’s south, killing an official total of 31 and leaving at least 130 more missing
