The decision to open an office in the region comes after strong demand from operators and subsea contractors needing specialised international expertise coupled with domestic resources.

The Indonesia operation PT UTEC Survey Indonesia's services will include subsea positioning, geophysical and geotechnical consulting, dimensional control and three-dimensional laser scanning.

UTEC provides a wide range of survey services including offshore positioning and construction support, geophysical and autonomous underwater vehicle surveys, geotechnical sampling and consulting services to the oil, gas and energy industries.

It also offers dimensional control surveys, laser scanning, 3D modelling and the iSite asset management software.

The company has offices around the world including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Italy, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, the UK and the US.
