According to IOC, “The project has received environmental clearance and the notification process is under way for the acquisition of the Right of Way for the pipeline corridor stretching from Paradip, in Orissa to Haldia, in West Bengal.”

“The pipeline will join with the existing Haldia-Barauni crude oil pipeline to maximise the value of the operations of its refineries at Haldia and Barauni, in addition to Bongaigaon Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd in Assam and future refinery in Paradip,” it added.

It is understood the bidding process for the major works have been completed with the Gammon India-Dodsal JV given the nod for constructing the main pipeline. SBM has won the bid to manufacture the pipeline’s single point mooring system and the installation firm is expected to be revealed soon.
