Pertamina awards South Sumatran EPC contract

The combined total for all three contracts will cost the state-owned firm a mere US$238.74 million.

In a statement Pertamina spokesman Hanung Budya Yukyanta said, “The first contract involves a US$33.01 million construction project for a natural gas receiving facility in West Musi, and was awarded to Rekayasa Industri and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.”

“The second contract, a US$135.92 million construction project for a gas transmission pipeline linking West Musi and Pagar Dewa, was awarded to Inti Karya Persada Teknik. The third, awarded to PT Inti Karya Persada Teknik, is a US$69.81 million construction project for a receiving facility in Merbau and a transmission facility in Pagar Dewa.

“The natural gas development project in South Sumatra is expected to supply 250 million cubic feet of gas per day to West Java, starting in mid-2006,” he added.
