Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf said, "Pakistan's human resources and Korean investment and technology would yield encouraging results [and since] Pakistan would no longer be facing quota restrictions beyond 2004, therefore vast export opportunities could be exploited by the two countries."

Aside from oil and gas, Musharraf also identified telecommunication, information technology and engineering as sectors that were ripe for joint ventures between companies from both countries.
