SembCorp lands Petrobras gig

Singapore’s SembCorp Marine has been awarded a US$628 million contract to covert the Bario De Maua very large crude carrier (VLCC) into a P-54 FPSO for Petrobras unit Petrobras Netherlands.

In a statement the company said, “The P-54 project will be undertaken by SembCorp Marine unit Jurong Shipyard at its Maua Jurong shipyard in Brazil and will take 38 months to complete. The project will commence in August.”

“Upon completion, P-54 will have oil production and treatment capacity of 180,000 barrels per day (bpd) [and] P-54 will be deployed at the Roncador Fiel, Campos Basin in offshore Brazil in depths of 1,315 metres,” added SembCorp.
