The company revealed that the two topsides for the Amenam 6 and Yoho deals in Nigeria are being constructed in SSE's Teluk Ramunia yard. The topsides for both projects are being put together at the company's specialised yard in Pasir Gudang.

Yoho project manager Mohamad Hatta Mustaffa confirmed that the combined weight of the topsides and jackets of the project was 20,467 metric tonnes - making this project the largest ever conducted since SSE's inception in 1984.

The Yoho project, which will be delivered offshore to Akwa Ibom in Nigeria, will be completed in 2004. The Amenam 6 project should receive its jacket and topsides by June 2005.

This deal was the company's sixth international job after securing contracts for oil and gas platform fabrications in Qatar, Singapore, Iran, China and Brunei. Domestically, SSE has made provided products and services to Petronas Carigali, Shell, ExxonMobil, Talisman and Murphy Oil.
