Our client is a significant player in the world of oil exploration and production. These rare opportunities exist for experienced professionals seeking a career at the front-line of this industry on facilities off the coast of Victoria and Western Australia. A system incorporating a 7 day-on, 7 day-off roster or 14-day on 14-day off roster applies.

These multi-faceted roles revolve around the rig operations required to drill, complete and test oil and gas wells in various operating environments. Everything that happens on these offshore facilities centres upon the enforcement of rigorous safety, health and environmental procedures. You will have an important role to play ensuring compliance with these procedures and maintaining equipment and materials in peak working order.

These roles will appeal to individuals accustomed to disciplined and controlled environments and "mission critical" situations where safety is paramount hence the emphasis upon professionals with armed or emergency services backgrounds.

Supporting your professional experience, you should hold tertiary qualifications that demonstrate an engineering based aptitude. These qualifications could address mechanical, electrical, civil or chemical engineering or a science based degree or diploma in a related technical discipline. Of equal importance is your ability to relate effectively with your fellow professionals.

Our Client is recognised as one of Australia’s largest and most successful maintenance contractors to the Mining and Oil & Gas Sectors. They require an experienced Site Superintendent to join their site team.

As a site superintendent you will be responsible for management and supervision of site operations including, client liaison, apprentice resourcing, direct trades, sub-contractor resourcing and management, safety and industrial relations, productivity, quality and progress reporting.

Ideally you will possess minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role with extensive experience in a refinery environment. Your career will have seen you work on a range of sites and you will have develop a reputation as a solid, well-rounded, mature and professional team player that does not shoot from the hip and has a great Safety record.

SENIOR / INTERMEDIATE PROCESS DRAFTER

The Wellington office of a major international engineering consultancy seeks to appoint a Senior of Intermediate Process Engineering AutoCAD Drafter. The work involves design of process plant and pipework for the dairy, pharmaceutical and oil and gas industries. This may from time to time involve overseas based projects, when there may be the opportunity (but not necessity) for short overseas secondments.

The person required ideally with have NZCE Mechanical - in full, or part - excellent CAD skills with 3D preferred, solid work experience in process design requiring specific cleaning/hygiene requirements, and a Ôuser friendlyÕ personality. Experience with AutoPLANT would be an advantage, but training would be given if necessary. At senior level, the person would supervise and train other drafters and be responsible for QA procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Business Development and Account Management within one of the following areas: Oil and Gas, Water, Mining or Manufacturing.

You will have excellent knowledge of instrumentation or large process control systems, have experience of tendering for large projects and be an excellent team player.
