LiveQuest 2.0 released

Schlumberger Information Solutions released LiveQuest 2.0 at the Society of Exploration Geophysic...

LiveQuest 2.0 is a secure, web-based application service provider for the oil and gas industry. It provides decision support tools such as user management with enhanced security, single sign-on for multiple platforms, and options for monitoring applications usage.

It also includes remote services for the exploration and production industry comprising data transfer, plotting and printing capabilities.

The output management capabilities are supplied through preferred technology relationships with System Development Inc and ZEH Software.

"SIS has teamed up with SDI and ZEH Software to be the first to bring remote data transfer and plotting services to the E&P industry," SIS president Ihab Toma said.

"With LiveQuest 2.0 companies use easily accessible decision support tools and the added advantage of remote plotting and printing to take collaboration to the next level. This leads to more informed decisions, increased efficiency and reduced IT expenditures."

The remote plotting services mean sub-surface images and maps that previously had to be posted on ftp sites or couriered in hard copy can now be rendered through LiveQuest service centres.

"SDI's relationship with SIS means exploration teams have 'print and deliver' capabilities via LiveQuest and the Web, so team members can immediately review and share results," SDI vice president Peter Ferrer said.
