Peter Cassidy has been appointed to the Board of Energy Developments. Cassidy has extensive experience in executive and non-executive director capacities in the international mining industry, most recently as CEO of Goldfields Limited, prior to its merger with Delta Gold Limited and subsequent takeover by Placer Dome earlier this year. Cassidy is currently a non-executive director of Lihir Gold Ltd, Sino Gold Ltd and Oxiana Resources NL.

Geoscientific data solutions provider, Geosoft Australia, has appointed Liane Kelly as Managing Director. Kelly will lead business development for Geosoft Australia, and will guide growth of the office's sales, training and technical support operations. Kelly will assume responsibilities held by Nick Valleau, who will carry on in his role as Global Accounts Manager from Geosoft's headquarters in Toronto, Canada.

Managing director Ken Skirka retired from drilling contractor OD&E last month after 30 years with the company, the last decade as managing director. CFO Ken Picard has been appointed MD.
