"This is a pleasing result for Worley with a strong performance by our international operations combined with the results in a number of our key joint ventures providing a sound start to the year," said Worley's chief executive, John Grill.
Grill added that Worley was on track to achieve its forecast of $22.6 million net profit for the full year as outlined in company's recent prospectus. Last November, the company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.
Worley also announced today it had won a $25 million engineering services contract from Shell to rejuvenate a gas processing facility off the Malaysian coast.
