If feasible and completed, the pipeline would transport natural gas from the coastal province of Batangas to Manila. The gas will be produced from the offshore Malampaya field.

A spokesperson from First Holdings has made it clear that the company is looking into working with other partners on the proposed project. First Gas is a joint venture between First Generation Holdings Corp. (First Gen) and BG Energy Holdings Ltd.
