Gas powered buses for Thailand

Daimler Chrysler Malaysia intends to introduce natural gas-powered buses to Malaysia, with new buses expected to be plying the streets of Putrajaya, the administrative capitol of the country, by early 2004.

The company has been after the Malaysian government to encourage the use of natural gas-powered vehicles through reduced import duties, government subsidies and other such incentives.

Natural gas-powered vehicles are already in use in other countries with Thailand having around 40 vehicles and Australia around 300.
