Woodside Energy received an award certificate for its consultation and environmental assessment of the WA-271-P Enfield Field Development. On announcing the certificate State Development Minister Clive Brown said Woodside had set a new standard for community consultation in the petroleum industry.

The Minister added that it was exciting to see the resources sector going above and beyond legislative requirements in caring for the environment.

"The environmental performance of industry is receiving increasing scrutiny from the community and it is excellent to see companies in the resources sector setting the standard for environmental management," Brown said.

"The Golden Gecko Awards rightly recognise our high achievers in environmental excellence."
