Woodside profit to dip: analysts

Analysts are tipping Woodside's second half profit to drop by as much as 20%, as the oil company ...

A Bloomberg News Service survey of eight analysts suggested likely earnings, factoring in lower crude oil prices, to be in the vicinity of A$422 million for the six months to December 31. In the same period last year, Woodside earned A$525 million.

The analysts also pointed out an earnings hole in their production figures for 2003-2004 which Woodside was very keen to see filled to maintain interest in the company's share price.
