Thales GeoSolutions, BHP Billiton, Stuart Petroleum.

Thales GeoSolutions (Australasia) Ltd have appointed Paul McSweeney as the new financial controller for the Perth-based office as of 15 July. The company said the appointment is the result of an internal promotion.

BHP Billiton announced that Paul Anderson has retired from his executive position this week but remains on the board of both BHP Billiton Ltd and BHP Billiton Plc until the annual general meeting later in the year.

Brian Gilbertson has assumed responsibility of chief executive officer and managing director of the Group.

Stuart Petroleum announced the resignation of Neville Martin as director of the company. Mr Martin has been involved in the company since its original successful bid for the CO 98 blocks and has played an important role in the company's affairs.
