LP Gas safety tips as winter approaches

With winter approaching and around 600,000 households around Australian using LP Gas as a major e...

Mr Ireson recommends that customers need to follow the simple steps below to ensure safe use of LP Gas cyclinders throughout the year, particularly during the winter season.

Maintain your heater with regular servicing, which is recommended at least every second year and can be completed by a trained Kleenheat Gas specialist or an approved dealer.

Check for gas leaks by placing soapy water over the cyclinder valve. If there's a leak, bubbles will be created.

Always store and transport your cyclinders upright. Do not store cyclinders in a vehicle.

Never tamper with a cyclinder or valve, and if it requires repair, take it to a specialist such as Kleenheat Gas House.

When using heaters always circulate fresh air into the room for adequate ventilation.
