The awards recognise and encourage significant achievements in sustainable developments in the minerals and energy sectors. AMEEF considers economic, environmental and social issues when looking at sustainable development.

The awards encourage innovation, problem solving, partnerships, positive outcomes and gives public recognition to those whose commitment and achievements makes them leaders, according to AMEEF.

The award categories are Community, Public Awareness, Travelling Scholarship, Innovation and Company Awards.

Applications close June 7 and nominations can be forwarded to lian@ameef.org.au. Further information can be obtained from www.ameef.org.au.
