Natural gas unlikely to abate emissions: BP exec

DESPITE natural gas being touted as the fastest growing fossil fuel, any energy substitution away from coal-generated power, expected because of a carbon cap regime, is unlikely to result in the emissions reduction necessary to tackle climate change, energy giant BP's chief economist said at APPEA.
